Look the game isn’t perfect it will forever be imbalanced with different characters but the game is like no other I love playing lifeweaver pulling and saving my teammates like in other game is that possible or crazy Cassidy high noon kills I do when I pull him up again in what game is that possible? OW was a fun PVP mode masquerading as a full fledged game. The games success was built on promises. Eventually, they decided to double down and promised more promises. That wasn't a very tempting proposition. Not to mention, by then blizzard had lost the trust of many with their lack of innovation & anti-free speech / anti-hong Kong actions.

for me the main seling point for Overwatch was the synergy between players and over the years they managed to smoehow loose that and especially OW2 feels more like regular fps game like COD. Another thing thye did was that when the game first released they had such varied charachters and from all part of the world like I am from India and Symmetra was like the first game that portrayed a southasian as someone powerful.

The biggest crime is that Overwatch 1 somehow won GOTY 2016, and now the servers are turned off so its literally impossible to play the GOTY from only 8 years ago.

Overwatch lured a lot of pro or burned out players from Team Fortress. To name the few Jerma, Star_ (now Ster), Muselk, Mr Paladin and others. Speaking of which, a lot of first competitive players during the first year was TF2 players. While some have returned to TF2, others bounced off Overwatch in a year or two. Overwatch official press might talking about "differentiate from TF2", but it for sure didn't feel like it. They copied competitive format of TF2 "Sixes", characters having some abilities to compensate the lack of rocketjumping and grenadejumping, engineer was butchered into 2 heroes and only with years of updates they stopped with TF2. Speaking of TF2, Overwatch made Valve to do a lot of strange and unwanted (in the way it was implemented) changes to TF2.

Overwatch 2 is way better than the original ever was and the game is in a good state right now. I never cared about PvE so its cancellation never mattered much to me.

I still stand by it. They should have released an animated Overwatch show in the likes of how they did the doomfist cinematic. Shame OW fell the way it did.

Budget constraints, hardware limitations, and time restrictions were why they couldn't deliver. Every developer is limited by these things. That's a poor excuse for botching so many things about this game.

I saw this vicious OW2 RUclipsr (QQBC) who was beyond toxic in their videos. Their voice sounded like an underage child being swatted at by actual grown adults. This is a good example, on how Blizzard poorly manages their privacy services especially when people under 18 are involved. For example, their so called "game browser" became "No Man's Land" with toxicity still lingering and sexual tensions within lobbies. (See for yourself and believe me that it's wrong for minors to join those lobbies.)

Now, I understand why the OW2 community is aggressively toxic.

I really hope that naive players of OW2 with their toxicity ambitions understand that what their playing isn't normal.

Do people really didn't like ow1 loot box system? You got couple as bonus weekly and every level up gave you loot box. I had around 600 unopened ones when ow2 released and i didnt no life the game or anything , i just played. It was probably most generous loot box system i ever seen

They need to disconnect from OW2 branding. It has 99 bad things and 1 good thing over its 2 years its been out. Going back to just OW. Balancing to 6v6 would be easier than balancing to 5v5 because they have the data for the 6v6, and over 4 years of development and live service, they still haven't properly balanced 5v5 in a fun way.
